Introduction

The Elevated Comfort Food space is saturated with Chicken and Waffle Recipes. And in that crowded field, some resort to gimmicks or just mail in their efforts. We have taken to treating each element of the dish to find the balance of Salt Fat Acid and Heat. This waffle is herbaceous and floral but not so overpowering that you miss the moist chicken with the perfect crunch. The finish though is what puts this dish over the top: Honey Butter Sriracha Drizzle. It is rich and sweet with the perfect amount of heat. If you are going to have chicken and waffles...experience something memorable.

Rosemary Cheddar Waffle

Directions


  1. Preheat waffle maker to light setting.

  2. Melt butter and set aside.

  3. Pour flour mixture in large bowl, make a well in the middle of the flour mixture.

  4. In a separate bowl, lightly whisk eggs then add buttermilk, vanilla and melted butter - mix ingredients together.

  5. Pour wet ingredients into flour mixture bowl.

  6. Add shredded cheese and mix until ingredients are combined (lumps are okay)

  7. Spray waffle maker on both sides with non-stick spray.

  8. Using a scooper, transfer mixture to waffle maker.

  9. Remove waffle when golden brown

  10. Enjoy with Fried Chicken and Pinx@home Hot Honey!

Dry Ingredients:

  • Rosemary Cheddar Waffle - 10 oz bag

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/4 cup butter - melted

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
